Alaea - the traditional Hawaiian table salt used to season and preserve foods. Alaea is non-processed and is rich in trace minerals, all found in the sea water. A small amount of the natural mineral “Alae” (volcanic baked red clay) enriches the salt with iron-oxide, seals in the moisture, and adds flavor while also giving the salt its distinctively attractive red color.

 

Chipotle - Smoke-dried jalapeños are combined with natural sea salt for a delicious, versatile ingredient that can add dimension and unique flavor to a many recipes. It pairs deliciously with a wide variety of cuisines- from Mexican to BBQ. It is a great salt with just the right amount of lasting heat with a rich and smoky chipotle flavor.

 

Hickory - Pacific sea salt flakes are naturally smoked with untreated hickory wood, resulting in a clean, smoked flavor without turning bitter. It is smoked using a slow process, allowing the salt to absorb the maximum flavor without becoming bitter. 

 

No liquid smoke or artificial flavors added to any of these salts.

The best gift I've received!

Best fermenting device ever!!!

I have been making sauerkraut and other fermented vegetables for years, but have used other fermenting devices made with plastic. I've thrown all the plastics out and use the stainless devices exclusively and have never had an issue. Love these devices and follow Karen Diggs advice for fermenting.

Best straight sided glass jars and stainless lids

I have several of the Le Parfait straight-sided jars for both fermentation and the freezer. They are great for freezing my left over soups! I am so glad that you have the stainless panel and rings, so I don't have to use plastic.
